Fireclay box with nuka glaze made of fir wood ash. The lid's knob is a quartz stone collected from a Costa Brava  beach. Fired in a reducing atmosphere to 1300ºC for 11 hours in a manual gas kiln. Handbuilt with the kurinuki technique.

Even though this piece is food, dishwasher and microwave safe, you should take special care of it if you want to keep it for a longer time. Wash by hand all pieces if possible and avoid leaving liquid in them for a long period of time. Crackle glazed pieces will stain over time due to the use of highly coloured liquids, so please avoid using strongly staining foods/liquids. Also, it is preferable to avoid sudden temperature changes, so it is better to let the boiling water settle before pouring it into the cup.
